DEPRESSION

In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.'

~ Albert Camus ~

The experiences of people suffering from depression have become more widely recognised as a serious problem in today's society.  With the Australian Government's launch of the 'BeyondBlue' initiative, there is now greater awareness of this debilitating condition.
Depression significantly affects a person's quality of life and ability to realise their goals and aspirations. In recognising that they may suffer from depression, people are now seeking professional counselling to end the cycle and face life with fresh optimism.
Depression can make people feel that they cannot achieve a sense of contentment ever again.  They may become hopeless about the future and experience helplessness in the wake of their feelings.  Some find it a struggle to get through the day and sleep more than necessary, while others find they are not getting enough rest.  Thoughts of worthlessness and taking no pleasure in anything can begin to consume a sufferer.
People experiencing depression often find that they struggle with work, relationships and everyday life.  Motivation decreases and the most basic of tasks can seem almost impossible.  With the object of managing the symptoms of depression, Fabienne offers sufferers tools with which to emerge from this debilitating condition with renewed exuberance and an increase in the quality of their personal and professional lives.
